Tristan's Tango
Tango is one of the finest forms of art known to man;
Actually tango is a reflection of our lives. Occassionally
they are full of energetic bossanova, but every now and then
a moody rubato steps in.
As the tango composer who tries to balance between sin and
elegance, passion and pride, must every one of us find the
balance between such conflicting forces. The force born
of such conflicts is the driving force that makes our lives
so full of suprise.
"The new tango or 'tango nuevo' created by [Astor Piazzolla]
is like a musical island approeached from many directions:
classical, modern concert music and jazz... ...He did, however,
succeed in creating a unique new, inimitable style, the
tango nuevo - one of the boldest and most expressive styles
in the 20th century music. The new tango is at once poetic,
dramatic and passionate, lyrical and melancholy and it
frequently incorporates long, constructive tensions that are
suddenly released with an outburst of energy."

Not much my type either but it is technically outstanding and I enjoyed it the hell a lot. To be listened to till the end.

Warder is one of my favorite composers, but he has certainly tried something new here. I'd say that it's under his normal level, but it's worth listening if you like this kind of music. I found it quite facinating on the first couple times and it could certainly be used for dancing tango, but...hmm, just not my kind of music. This is Warder's field, he is very good in putting samples together and mixing them up. There are very little effects, but I don't think it needs any. Great work by Warder, once again.
