There is a good reason why since the first comment in 1999 (currently 24y ago), this track has never been reviewed as anything other than a 10/10.

The talent and abilities of Martin Galway are only amplified and complimented by those of Jogeir Liljedahl, who long-time trackers will recognise as one of the most notable composers in the sphere.

In this <1MB, 16ch track, you get a magical take on 2 Galway tracks, with lovely arpeggios, and almost anthemic leads. Everything works with everything in galway.xm. If you don't have this one in your collection, you clearly just started making one :P | As a sidenote, since this is a 2-parter, I prefer the Rambo (first half) side to the 2nd side (Green Beret).

Beautiful, outstanding tribute work of Jogeir!

Found this in 2021 earlier this year. An amazing module... the way he remixed this is simply great. His typical drumbeat style mixed with SID sounds and coming together with some other instruments is a blend of amazing-ness that I cannot describe. I've listened to this too many times to remember.

Yeah hard to find something to say other commenters didn't already say. Galway C64 stuff in a Mod, this is awesome, always worth coming back to.

I listened to a lot of mods over the years, but whenever I come back to this I honestly think it's one of my absolute all time top 3 tunes! It's just so awesome, thanks!

I've never owned a C64, but this is such a special masterpiece. That is all I can really say, as it's hard not to be speechless each time I listen to this. The emotion in this track is bursting at the seams.

I came in search of a Galway recreation, and I was not disappointed!

Really impressive conversion of two classic Galway pieces from 1985/6 on the C64. Quite how difficult this is to do and get the right effect really can't be underestimated. Superb work from Jogeir. I never tire of listening to this at all!

What a remake of Galway´s themes! Brilliant music feeling and composing! This is the best remake of Galway´s musics i´ve ever heard - better than the original! Absolutely great job!

The best c64 remakes i ever heared! Jogeir did a great job, again. His typical drum style fits well into the c64 tracks. and to be honest, i like this version better than the original files without drums! Especially part one is very impressive.

warhawk summed this up nicely in the review, and I really do recommend you leave this playing all the way through - mainly because the intros where it's merging from the original C64 themes into the fully multichannel verses is a bit empty (be be expected). Brilliant overall use of samples and totally pushes buttons with anyone who remembers the Rambo and Green Beret games of the 64.

Everyone who owned a C64 probably knows who Martin Galway is. He is one of the most famous C64 composers. And when the greatest of all modmakers make a module out of one of Galways tunes, its just great! This could be explained as a 16 channel C64 song, those Sid sounds makes me freeze. It is a wonderful song indeed and the 2 Galway tunes Jogeir has chosen for this song is Rambo (part 2) and the green beret loader. The nostallgian kicks i got by this tune, its unexplainable. If you once owned a C64 this is a must, you wont be sad, i promise you. This is the first 10 i give out and i do NOT regret it. Those old sid samples are just so beutiful. And when they are in the hands of Jogeir, this is magic. I almost started crying when i heard this song. Thank you Jogeir!
