'VOYAGE TO ETERNITY'

A 16 channel .S3M composed
for The Gathering '95 in
Stavanger, Norway.

Not sure how this is going
to sound up against MIDI
compositions... still by
the time you're reading
this I guess we'll know!!

I suggest that you use
Inertia Player for this.

There's soem ST 3.2 panning
commands which are wrong!!

Although made in 1995, the music is timeless. It was difficult to decide one classification becuase the song is somewhat of a combination of traditional ambient and ballad techno, and a great, well proportioned combination. Compositionally the song is wonderful, but pay attention to the detail, too. There's a delightful attention to range throughout the song. This sounds especially skilled for a track from 1995. Big Jim keeps the song simple when it should be, and makes the effects grand only when needed. This is a little above par compared to most of the mods you'll hear from 1995. This song is a good show of restraint. You normally hear alot of panning and strange sweeping with the ambient ballads, but this song keeps it sounding like quality music. The only thing that keeps it from sounding industry-quality is the mixed quality samples used. Dont let this deter you from listening to this song because it's wonderful despite the few lower quality samples.
