The song is called "Dead Lock" but I'd argue it's living freedom. It really creates a powerful sensation of exciting, energetic adventure through some kind of fantastical world.

Can't believe I never left a commend on this module until now. Truly ahead of its time.

After leaving the Atari ST (and Amiga) I forgot about tracker music. Until one day my friend showed me FastTracker 2 and played this song. I just dropped my jaw to the beasement! What a tune!
Fantastic use of all the channels anf great samplaes and effects!

10/10. I love it. With the hardware limitations of the time, still sound better than a lot of today's music.

This is an absolutely brilliant top track in its genre, I have such love for its super-dynamic lead melodies, driving rhythms and wonderful backing arpeggios and pads. It's so well thought-out, and just such a thrill to hear!

deadlock is awesome, I'm not kidding, I'm giving this a 10/10

A truly great composition. This sounds so high quality, even only with the 8-bit mono samples it has. Even if the samples themselves aren't very high in sampling rate and stuff it still sounds fantastic!

I downloaded this into my phone and now it's deadlocked. I can't stop it from playing, but I don't care!

Listening to this track should be catalogued like one of the things that should be done at least once before you die. Insta-fave on top of all my previously favourited modules!

Zhen out of zhen!

Golden Hit. Best seller. This kind of track is what I would like to play in a special club devoted to scene/tracker/chiptune/trance music.

Probably the most brilliant track ever made.

Great mood, great vibe, great orchestration, sweet instruments and an uplifting effect that I shall never forget, for sure.

Hey guys! That's what music was supposed to be.

We want more.. Please Elwood! Please produce some more stuff like this!
;-)

God bless all the great guys in the scene.

If you haven't downloaded this, you must do so now! This is the best XM song out there!

Great module! I'm Speechless.

I like this, but it does not live up to the masterpiece Sweet Dreams by the same author. (see: sweetdre.xm)

Nice tune but I am not fond of the genre.

Very awesome tune. I first heard it while playing a Jazz Jackrabbit 2 episode, in which it was used. I love listening to it for now more than ten years.

Great Pop-music with an outstanding melody. Only great the music feeling! Thanks for this music!

Simply one of the BEST dance song I've heard! Very beautiful fx and melody. Arrangement made by a very professional composer. In short, a superb nice tune.

Epic piece, definitely one of these modules, which everyone should recognize. Many changes, complex background and - the most important thing - excellent lead. Still unbeatable.

I've been listening to this module for over 10 years on a regular basis and I still find impressive technical details in it. Plus i still get goose bumps from this module. It's probably the main reason why a lot of kids start tracking. The composition technique and the melody are flawless. This is indeed the best module ever written.

Wow!! Excellent tracker music. It is just stuck in my ears and won't come out! :D

Y es, how to make FastTracker jump through hoops, by Elwood. Excellent technically, and a tune, something many other composers seem to overlook. On the other hand, if I grade it 10, how do I rate his later stuff? So, 8-9 then.

This is pretty much the greatest extend mod ever! It should be the fast tracker anthem it's amazing! The catchy melodies, the insane effects flying all over the place, this song just gets in your head. It's a testament to Elwood's skill that he wrote this when he was 16! Just go listen now.

It's gone 10 years since I randomly downloaded this song from a BBS. The mere fact that someone gave this tune a 9, hurts me deeply. This is the ultimate XM, the best there is, perhaps. I've heard two perfect tracked songs throughout the years (in my humble opinion, of course). This is one of them, the other one being Space Debris. This tune is awesome from beginning to the end. Period. Listen and learn. And ask yourself before giving it another 9 (or God forbid anything less); who are you to judge? My score: 11 - Most Excellent and Awesome to the Max

Nifty synth-pop song by Elwood. The lead sounds great. The melodies are stuck in my head! Some of the melodies bear a remarkable resemblance to one of BeaT's songs. BeaT did the copying, though, because his songs came later than this. The drums and beat are very nice. The transitions are great! Very cool. There are a few thin parts, so hence the 9 instead of 10.

This is one of the best i've heard of Elwood. I must admit I only actually came across it today after seeing it listed in the comments, now i'm quite bemused as how this one managed to pass me by. Superly composed, splendid use of the samples and what an amazing stereo image it creates! Technically and musically impressive.

This is Elwood's greatest tune! It's just perfect! Again, Elwood turns crappy samples into one of the most wonderfull songs i have ever heard - and you don't even notice that they are from so bad quality. When i listened to this tune for the first time, the intro already caught me. i wanted to listen to more of this stuff - and the tune became even better! The tune is so insanely happy, really! Get it! now! :)

this is a great song by elwood I especially like the way he blend each part of the song together to make an up-beat cheery track it gets you involved in the music much like purple motion, skaven and necros tracks brilliant! it is amazing how elwood can get real crap samples and turn them into an amazing masterpiece by doing effects etc. his chord inversion makes the song very interesting and worth listening to and the way he makes the lead completely different but still keeps the song listenable is amazing. elwood rules!
